Reading the 2025 Miami-Dade report starts with identifying the supply system, the measurement and the period behind each number.
Start with the right supply system
The report separates Main System, South Dade, NMB Water and REDAVO results. A Miami postal address alone is therefore not enough to choose a column. Match the property’s supplier and supply system to the report before interpreting a result.[1]
A number needs its method
For total trihalomethanes, the Main System reports 50 ppb, a sample range of 9–59 ppb and an MCL of 80 ppb, with no violation recorded for that parameter. The compliance value is a locational running annual average. It is not the result from every tap. Here, ppb means micrograms per litre.[1]
The wider picture
In its April 2026 release, WASD states that its drinking water meets local, state and federal regulatory standards and describes more than 150,000 samples and tests annually. This is the utility’s assessment of its system; the detailed report remains the place to check individual parameters and explanatory notes.[2]
How to use this information
Keep the report alongside the property’s supply details. Record the parameter, unit, sample period and type of average when discussing a particular need. One selected result cannot summarize all aspects of water quality, and it does not establish the performance of any treatment product.

Read the correct supply-system column and its footnotes. This article highlights one reported parameter; it is not a full assessment of a property’s water.
